Water Fun is Super Cool
Paint with Water
(2-5 years) Cool off your hot grumpy little ones with this harmless water activity. Supply your child with a clean paint brush and bucket of water. Let them paint the house, walkway, bikes, fence, each other, etc. Don't forget the sunscreen!
Dribble, Dribble, Drench! (5-10 years) This game is just like "Duck ,Duck, Goose ", except that as "IT" walks around the circle with a cup or pitcher of water. When they say dribble to each player they dribble a few drops of water on their head. BUT...you know this is coming don't you? When they say "Drench" that player gets the rest of the water on their head or back. Then the wet player chases "IT" and tries to tag her before she gets to the wet players place. Got that?...this is really fun with kids age five or older on a very hot summer day. Younger children can play if they are not sensitive about being drenched.

Water Relay
You'll need: Buckets of water 1 per team Large sponges 1per team Empty 1 gallon plastic milk jug 1 per team
Split players into two or more teams. Set the buckets of water on one side of the race course with the sponges in the bucket. Place the milk jug at the opposite end of the race course. The object of the game is to be the first team to fill the milk jug with water.
The first player of each team soaks the sponge with water runs to the milk jug and squeezes the water into it. Then runs back to pass the sponge to the next player. This continues until the first jug is full. To provide more of a challenge, try using turkey baster syringe's instead of sponges;you have to aim while you are also trying to win!
TIP: A little food coloring in the jug will help the racers see the water line.
