Help us Provide 1 Million Meals by Meeting the Match
Good Shepherd Food-Bank is once again holding a Virtual Holiday Food Drive to help feed hungry Maine families this holiday season. Thanks to a generous gift from Walmart, every dollar donated will be matched, up to $100,000. The Virtual Holiday Food Drive is taking place now through December 31 on the Food-Bank Web site.
This is our opportunity to make sure we can provide meals for thousands of Maine families this winter, so don't delay - please help us meet our goal by making a donation!

Anonymous Donor Gives $30,000 for Maine Farm, Dairy & Seafood Initiative
A generous Maine resident has donated $30,000 in support of the Maine Farm, Dairy, and Seafood Initiative, a program that aims to bring fresh and nutritionally balanced Maine-harvested food to needy Maine families.

For every donation made to MPBN during its October radio membership drive, the Maine Community Foundation donated enough money to Good Shepherd Food-Bank to feed a family of three for about a week. On October 1, the Credit Union League celebrated the 5th Anniversary of the Food Mobile program, which it has supported since the program began in 2005. To mark the occasion, the League presented Food-Bank Executive Director Rick Small with a check for $10,500 to ensure the continued success of the Food Mobile.
On November 16 at the Brewer Distribution Center, the Credit Union League will present the Food-Bank with a check for $1,600 to purchase turkeys for Maine families in need of assistance this Thanksgiving.
