Here's what's new and exciting at WORD
|
|
A new face!
Please welcome Luca Dipierro, our newest addition
to the WORD family. Luca is a writer, artist and filmmaker
and has tons of bookstore experience in his native Italy.
Besides working in the store, Luca will be planning lots of
exciting new events, including a monthly Italian Movie Night
which he will host. We're so happy to have Luca here, so please
come in and say hi if you haven't already.
A new payment option!
Since we pride ourselves on being your local, independent bookstore and all the personal service that comes with that, we want to make things as easy as possible for you. We are now setting up payments "on account" where you can pre-pay any amount and we'll deduct your purchases from that amount. This is especially useful for parents who want to allow their kids to shop independently but stay within a budget. Please call or email us for more info.
Book discussion with the author starts next month!
We're excited to host the first of what we hope will be many book talks with the author. This event is open to anyone interested in attending, not just for current WORD book club members.
Josh Kilmer-Purcell, author of the memoir I Am Not Myself These Days Wednesday, August 6 at 7:30pm
