On October 13, indulge your sweet tooth at Applefest, with flaky pies or caramel apples while strolling the downtown area full of quaint shops and vendors. Walk around the corner to The Washington House, where the Ice Cream Sundae was invented 131 years ago, and grab some history in a dish while exploring an antique toy collection.  Owlfest is October 20 at Woodland Dunes Field Station where you can meet the tiny Saw-Whet owl during banding demo's and live raptor presentations. Or let the kids join the Great Candy Find at the Spooky Spectacular on October 31.
