"Cutting a Fine Figure"

Champagne opening
Friday, Sept 14th  5-8pm

We are proudly hosting an exhibition of new works by members of the
Texas Association of Original Doll Artists!

Each art doll is original in design, a true one-of-a-kind sculpture.
The juried showing will continue at the Post Oak location through Oct 8th then will move to the Memorial City Mall location on Oct 9th.  We are doing this in order to give an opportunity for our customers on the west side of Houston to see the show more easily.
The show ends Oct 20th.

The entire show will be able to be seen on our website the day after the opening party.  The in depth story about the show and the TAODA organization can be read here

American Craft Week coming  October 5-14
Hanson Galleries joins 200 other retailers and art institutions nationwide in celebration of American Craft Week.

In commemoration of this year's event, we are giving away a reusable tote bag with every purchase made.

Hanson Galleries supports American Craft Week because public awareness of the local crafts scene helps sustain jobs for artists and the venues that represent them.  There is a return to the local community by helping small businesses keep dollars in the city and in the USA.

Several noteworthy events are planned at Hanson Galleries during the 10-day event.  Visit the website to see what is planned or don't miss our next newsletter.  For a complete list of American Craft Week public events taking place locally and nationally, go to www.americancraftweek.com.

Reminder of new location
Post Oak Centre store

PostOakMap
We still have customers going to Uptown to shop, but that store moved in March to the shopping center on the north-west corner of Post Oak and Westheimer.

Morton's Steak House and Arcodoro Restaurants as well as Nothing Bundt Cakes and Sports Clips are our neighbors in the shopping center.  We FACE Grand Lux Cafe across the parking lot.
We are three stores off of Westheimer.

There is a parking garage with an entrance off of McCue; however, there is plenty of free parking in the shared lot in in front of the store.  The sketch will help you locate us.

Welcome to September......OK, so it still feels like summer.

Our favorite time of the year at Hanson Galleries brings artist showings, trunk shows, American Craft Week events and the Nutcracker Market.

Join us for the opening of "Cutting a Fine Figure" doll sculpture show and toast the fall with some champagne.  It is our honor that the Texas Association of Original Doll Makers have asked us to jury and mount their prestigious showing.  For the first time, we will be moving the show on Oct 9th to the Memorial City location in order to make it easier for our west side customers to be able to enjoy the work.

American Craft Week starts off with two juried guild shows and demonstrations at both galleries.  More on that in our next newsletter. ACW 12Logo
