Holiday excitement
Nutcracker Market
Vol 5, Issue 12
October 2011 |
|
Nutcracker Market is here again! Our booth is #351 Once again we are introducing many new items at the market this year. "Toytown Texas" opens next Wed, Nov 9, with a kickoff party and continues through Sun, Nov 13 at the Reliant Center. We invite you to visit our booth there, or, of course, either of our two Houston locations. We will be open on Sundays from noon-5 at both locations throughout the end of the year for your shopping convenience. For more information on the Market click here. |
Symbols of Faith
Now through the holidays we will be highlighting artist work that reinforces religious beliefs.
Steven Wise is back in his studio after many years of not producing art. His work was heavily collected by our customers two and three decades ago. Shown here is the hand-sculpted and hand-painted 11-piece nativity set that includes the stable. Click here to see his pod nativities and sweet angels.
Mark Rossier borrows from history in making his stoneware menorah. It is designed to look like the wall in Jerusalem. The original menorahs used oil. These classic-shaped urns hold a candle instead. A cleverly designed mezuzah completes the offering.
Come by to see our other offerings of religious art.

Pure linen twine with sterling silver elements
New to the gallery by Suzanne Cornwell
The sturdiest, strongest fabric known to man, linen, is the basis of these architectural necklaces. After all, the Egyptians knew this centuries ago! It will not fray or stretch, and unlike leather, will not crack, stink, or get sticky.
The artist has designed her own sterling silver elements and coated them with rhodium to retard tarnishing. You can even wear them in the shower, ocean or swimming pool. Just rinse if off and keep on going. This twin line is beautiful, unique and practical! Necklaces are available in three sizes with matching bracelets and earrings to complete the look. This jewelry will be offered at the Nutcracker Market booth #351.

Oversized sand sculpture
Make it the important gift for the man in
your life!
Bill has made a super jumbo 21" by 12" sand sculpture just in time for the holidays. Cherry wood makes the frame and sand from seven deserts of the world help make up the ever-changing landscapes. Smallest sculpture shown at left for scale and other available color.

Houston Llew likes cats too!
These popular enamel Spiritiles have become a favorite gift of Hanson Galleries customers. Always serving up a quote, this one is inscribed with:"In ancient times cats were worshipped as gods. They have not forgotten this." - Terry Prachett. Click here to see others available and their quotes.
