Inspirational jewelry from a new artist!
by Monica Johnson

This glass jewelry is fired with glass enamels which paint images and words that sooth and inspire.  These lead free enamels are kiln fired at over 1150 degrees at which time the artwork melts and fuses onto the glass tile.  This method makes them extremely durable.

Monica places a word on the back of each piece creating an inspirational thought.  Each comes with a 20" sterling silver chain so that they can swing and face either front or back.

Buyers return from buying trips
New work expected daily

Hanson Galleries' buyers were highly successful in finding new, stunning work to bring you this spring...so the excitement will continue.

For those who answered our pre-market survey, you won't be disappointed for we found most of the items you were asking for.

We are often asked how we pick which craft our customers want to buy when we see several hundred artists a day.

Well, it is very overwhelming, but gets easier with experience.  If you enjoy the Hanson Galleries' ambience, then imagine how we feel working a show with many hundreds of artists.  It is inspirational!

Jeweled raku

by Lynn Jenkins

 Jenkins Low Pot with Turq

We haven't seen this artist in years, so
we were excited to find her again on a recent buying trip.

In pottery terms, raku refers to a firing process which dates back to the sixteenth century in Japan.  Because of this firing process, each piece is a one-of-a-kind.  All of Lynn's crackle glaze pots and boxes come with a turquoise or azurite/malachite accent.  See more Lynn Jenkins Raku here.
