DeBon Pink

A Real Glass Act

This scalloped and polished edge sculpture might start out as an ordinary sheet of glass, but the end result is dynamic!  Dennis DeBon's "energy webs" are quite unique and each comes with its own black metal base.  We have just received these pieces, bought during our first buying trip of the year.

This piece measures approximately  17"diameter with an overall height of 20".

Click Dennis DeBon's "Energy Web" to see other pieces we have right now by this artist.  All are at the Uptown Park location.

Raku heart is a rattle

by Texan J. Davis

 Davis Heart Rattle

American Indians have long used rattles during ceremonies to ensure blessings upon their crops.  Use this rattle to help rattle your worries away, or just to keep your papers from blowing away.  These are made by the ancient Japanese raku firing process and no two are alike.

Larimar is in demand!

New arrivals

Walther Larimar

Larimar is a recently discovered ocean-blue gemstone often mistaken for turquoise or jade.  It is found nowhere else but in a remote mountain region in the Caribbean.

It's color resembles the beautiful range of colors seen in  Caribbean waters.  The stone itself is said to hold powerful healing energies bringing balance and peace to its owner as it eases tension and stress.  Click

here to see our collection hand-picked on a recent buying trip.  Both stores have a selection.

Jurying for Wood Artists

 Wood jurying

In January, Hanson Galleries' Donna Milstein joined Houston wood artist, Roger Dethridge and gallery jewelry artist, Mary Rogers in jurying the local Houston Wood Turners Association entry for a National competition.  It was difficult to narrow the field from so many stunning pieces submitted by our talented area wood turners.
