Copper is the cat's meow!
Gallery customers might remember the copper animal silhouettes by Dawn Mickel. She has updated her collection to include wall art made from several layers of heat-treated copper mounted on a wood frame.
Dawn keeps her charming cat studies in her new designs and still makes the silhouettes as well. (Her customers just would not give them up!) We will be expanding to include her other animals in the fall.

Josh Simpson's Corona Series
just arrived
Bowls, platters and paperweights
Inspried by photos taken by the Hubble telescope and published by NASA, Josh Simpson has created his Corona series. Certainly one of the USA's most outstanding living glass blowers, Josh is probably best known for his "inhabited planet" marbles and paperweights.
We have received an outstanding assortment of work including several pieces of the Corona series...each as beautiful as this platter.
The Corona series came about when he substituted ruby-colored glass for the blue in his famous New Mexico collection. Click here to see our entire selection of his work.

Woolly Mammoth knives
New from Bill Wirtel

The material in this knife handle is actually a section of petrified tooth from a Woolly Mammoth...one that lived around 15,000 years ago. It is the best known animal from the last Ice Age. Mammoth teeth are used to determine the age of the animal since they are replaced several times during its life.
The artist says that the petrified tooth they are using is neither valuable nor unique since there are plenty of Woolly Mammoth teeth available for study. He wishes us to accept its use in his knives in the spirit that he offers it...as a tangible remainder of the mysterious animals that ruled the world during the last Ice Age.
Our collection includes pocket knives in several sizes, money clips and letter openers.

Fossil-like coaster set
Functional pieces of art
The Jacksons tell us that each absorbant coaster is carefully made using real leaves from their travels around the country. The base clay comes from natural sands and minerals held together in a stone-like substance, OmegaStone, invented by them. Each one is intentionally designed to look like a fossil dug from the earth and cut from stone. We offer several color choices, so one is sure to match your decor.
