"Adornable Glass" Jewelry Show Opens
On May 1st we are opening our spring jewelry show featuring the latest approaches in glass jewelry design. The timing is perfect for Mother's Day (May 10th) and graduation presents. Fourteen U.S. artists are included in the selection and some of the show can be seen by clicking here. Many pieces arrived just today and will be added to the website shortly. The three-dimensional orchid necklace shown is by Dottie Woody.
Luci Bergamini, the featured artist, is a leader in the US in making her own latticino beads and arranging them into stunning wearables. We have a very large, important collection of hers in stock at both locations. This is just a teaser. Look here for her collection.

Author here for book signing
 Susan Lieberman of Houston has just finished her sixth book titled: The Mother-in-Law's Manual.
She will be at the Uptown Park location on Saturday, May 9th from noon-3 to sign and dedicate a copy for you or your gift-giving.
She writes from a very positive viewpoint on proven strategies for creating and maintaining healthy relationships with married children. From personal experience she tells how a mother has to change from a "leading lady" of the family to a "character role" in the new extended family.

Mary has been busy designing new work that she would love to show you. She will be available on May 9th to talk to you about designing something for your special occasion. Her speciality is wedding party jewelry.

| Contemporary Handweavers Guild
Lecture given by Hanson Galleries' Owner
On April 16th, Donna Milstein of Hanson Galleries gave a speech with power point presentation to a local handweavers group on "How to market your work." She covered interesting information on Hanson Galleries, color trends and things to know before starting an artist-based business. The attendees were very appreciative and asked many questions. Donna is available to other groups and guilds in Texas for similar talks.
