Special Event for Cor Unum |
Jamie's Tour de New England for Hunger
Jamie is not your ordinary high school senior. For the past two years, Jamie has called Cor Unum home, spending much time each week serving guests at Cor Unum with a caring face and understanding heart. Her compassion and concern for the hungry has led her to do something epic to make people more aware of the issue of hunger and provide financial support to Cor Unum and Project Bread.
Jamie is going to ride 300 miles, through all six New England states. Her goal is to complete her ride in 5 days, from August 2nd through August 6th.

WE NEED VOLUNTEERS! |
Summer is the busiest season of the year at the Cor Unum Meal Center, mostly because children are out of school for vacation. At the same time, many of our regular volunteers take time off for their personal vacations, so we often find ourselves understaffed.
Please consider volunteering to serve a meal at Cor Unum this summer. It's a great experience for individuals, families, groups of friends, and work groups.
Our most pressing volunteer needs are cooks, food prep assistants, and servers. For full information about the range of volunteer opportunities at Cor Unum, <click here>. To complete a secure online application <click here>.
THANK YOU! |

Cor Unum Kids |
At Cor Unum, we serve each week hundreds of children who would otherwise go without meals. Many children come with their families to eat but, there are an ever-growing number of children who come on their own or with other children. We are happy to be able to provide abundant, nutritious meals for children.
In addition to providing daily meals, we often have special activities for the kids who come to Cor Unum to eat. We celebrate their birthdays with a cakes and presents. For many of our children, this is the only acknowledgement they receive of their birthdays. Our most recent activity with the children was an ice-cream sundae party. To view pictures of this fun event <click here>. To view pictures of additional kids' activities <click here>.
We asked some of our kids what they like about Cor Unum. The following are quotes from Cor Unum Kids:
"Eating - the food is awesome" Channys. 11
"All the good stuff they give you" Camelia, 6
"They gave me a cake and barbies for my birthday" Isabel, 11
"I like talking to all my friends that come here - it's the best place to come with friends" Alyssa,10
"Food" Natasha, 14
"Fr. Paul - he's funny" Louis, 12
