We are all so aware of the slowdown in our industry. The surprising thing is how many  products continue to be used in large volumes throughout the communities you serve. There are some significant opportunities in residential remodeling and in commercial construction, particularly government and school rehab and new construction. Our opportunities are changing...the good news is that we still have opportunities. If we are going to be able to take advantage of what the market place has to offer us, it will require us to change.     On our exterior door units with sidelites,  we fasten the mulls on the outside with a corrugated staple, but not on the inside.  Customers have been asking, "Why don't you do the inside mull."  The reason is that the installer may need to shim behind the hinges to push door closer to the lock jamb or install a 3" screw through one of the hinges to pull door away from the lock jamb.  When casing is being installed on the unit later a mull cover will be installed over the joint and the gap will not be seen.
