Thanksgiving Every Day
If you are like me, you are grateful and appreciate your life, but sometimes you get busy, distracted, or stressed and gratitude is the farthest thing from your mind. Eventually, luckily, you remember how fortunate you are and your appreciation returns. Thanksgiving day is our annual reminder to be grateful. It's one of my favorite holidays. Yes, I like to cook and eat and be with my family and friends, but I truly enjoy basking in the feeling of gratitude.
I'd like to share with you a 20 minute guided Gratitude Meditation. Listen to it online or download it to your iPod. Do you want to know how the attitude of gratitude can change your life? Click here to find out and to discover gratitude practices that can shift your attitude even when you don't feel particularly grateful. Research proves that people who regularly practice grateful thinking can increase their "set point" for happiness by 25%! That's not bad.
Gratitude is about welcoming the present moment: receiving and appreciating it. And while I am writing about gratitude and appreciation, I want to take this moment to thank you. Because of you and others I am able to do the work that I love. Everyday I am fortunate to talk about, write about, and share my experiences with meditation, self-discovery, self-awareness, and self-love.
I am continually fulfilled by the transformation that I see and hear about in the lives of my students, as they rediscover who they are, what they really want, how to take care of themselves, and live an authentic life. I am honored to be on this journey with you.
I want to share what else I am grateful for (You might want to come up with your own list!)
