Student-to-School-Counselor Ratios Released
The National Center for Education Statistics has released preliminary ratio data for the 2008-2009 school year. Although ASCA recommends a 250-to-1 ratio of students to school counselors, the national average is actually 457-to-1. This is a slight improvement from last year, when the ratio was 467-to-1.
