2010 School Counselor of the Year Events
This year brought yet another stellar group of school counselors to Washington, D.C., for three days of congressional briefings, meetings with Senators, a meeting at the Department of Education and a black-tie awards gala. The events garnered media attention for school counseling both in Washington and across the country, culminating in a radio media tour by Barbara Micucci, 2010 School Counselor of the Year. Read her blog post about her experiences, listen to her ASCAway podcast, and check out the photos on the ASCA SCENE from the event. Nominations for the 2011 School Counselor of the Year program are due Sept. 15, 2010.
