Greetings and Happy Holidays at this busy time of year for all of us and especially Noel Rockmore. Rockmore is appearing at 3 different Museums in 3 different states this month and there are articles, films and auctions occurring all over the place.
Big things are still happening in Lagrange as the exhibition continues and this LaGrange Panel Discussion Film by Tee Marvin is generating all sorts of interest. The first color Rockmore Catalog has also created it's own buzz with museum folks from across the US sending in their request to have one. Several folks have told us they have been interviewed for upcoming articles on Noel Rockmore and the HBO Show "Treme" will have some Rockmore's shown in an episode shot in Pres Hall.
There is a new mailer being prepared right now by the LaGrange Art Museum to help inspire you and others to make the trek to see this once in a lifetime Rockmore exhibition. If you did not get a mailer from the last event please send us your mailing address ASAP or tell us who to add. An hour south of Atlanta to see the whole Rockmore story in one place, you can do it, let us know if you are coming and we just might see you there.

Shirley Marvin Collection works will be available on eBay this Monday & Tuesday at 9PM Eastern Time with guaranteed holiday delivery. This upcoming Auction features a Classic Rockmore of Busters - Buster Holmes kitchen. Buster's was an icon kitchen in the French Quarter where the Pres Hall Musicians gathered for red beans and rice direct from Buster Holmes. It was one of the first integrated establishments in the French Quarter in the mid 60s and has a Buster Holmes Facebook Page. Rockmore was a Busters regular and documented it in this watercolor below. There is a really good Buster's story by by Per Oldus on the link as well. It's a history worth preserving.

A sad note in Rich & Tee's journey that caused us to cancel our December trip to New Orleans is the death of our friend and roofer Francois Van Beeck in our front yard from a heart attack this past Monday. We had known Francois and his family for many years and had always promised them the roofing job if we ever hit it big. Hurricane Irene actually led the insurance company to replace our roof and we called Francois. We spent this past week bonding, having meals, watching great sunsets and seeing a real family team put a new Hunter Green roof on. Monday as his sons scraped the final old roof Francois cleaned the gutter debris and the next thing you know he had a heart attack. Despite the best effort of his family and the ambulance to revive him, he was gone before our eyes. Now we will be attending the wake and funeral and certainly appreciating the time we have spent with all of you on this journey to date. Discovery of Noel Rockmore is around the corner in the Season for Miracles. We believe and so do you because you follow this Rockmore adventure!
Our wish for you is to enjoy the Holidays with your loved ones.
