The Big News is that Shirley Marvin will create a Non Profit Corporation that will document those that were an integral part of the French Quarter from the 1950's-1980's. This would of course include The Borenstiens, The Jaffes, The Cahns, The Weins, Mike Stark, Bill Russell, Gypsy Lou Webb, Johnny Donnels, Ruthie the Duck Girl, The Musicians, The Characters and The Artists (including Noel Rockmore who documented all the people of that time). The goal of this "French Quarter Project" would be to have a web page that puts research material on all of the characters in one place. Eventually, maybe even a traveling exhibit and presentations. Shirley has put the first of her Rockmore's up for auction this weekend to help fund this concept. Each of the 6 Rockmore's will include a Certificate of Authenticity signed by Shirley.
There are many other Rockmore's coming up this weekend at Neal Auction and New Orleans Auction. This is a good thing for Rockmore because the more works of an artist that have been sold at auction - the better. You can see that there is quite a selection to choose from in the works below.

The Big News for the
Noel Rockmore Project is that this is the summer to make it happen as far as PR and recognition for Noel Rockmore. We will concentrate all of our energy on getting the word out via all media as soon as we finish the web page revisions this month. Of course, we will be asking all of the Rockmore Insiders to help, so get ready.
The word for the summer is "perseverance". We will make it happen! Noel Rockmore is the real deal and has the art to back it up. He also has the credentials and the pedigree but it all comes down to the art.
We will keep you posted for a really big "Summer of Rockmore."
