Greetings!

I had typed up another "organizational" tip this month, but the Universe is pushing me in another direction at the last minute.  I hope it moves you to be able to clear some of your own head clutter and gain clarity and peace.

Emotional Head Clutter
It's all too much!

How do we get the clutter out of our heads?  There are elections, financial downfall buyouts, hurricanes, businesses closing, and the list goes on! We are in tumultuous times and it all can be very overwhelming, even for the most "positive" of people.  We are told to not "buy in", yet we see struggle all around and within us.

Emotional head clutter leads to lack of productivity, focus and poor communication at work, and even can manifest itself in health issues and non-functioning relationships in our personal lives.

Here are some ways I have found to help with my own clutter.  Perhaps they will work for you too:
  • People. I have a fabulous community of people that genuinely care about me and my well-being.  I know that I can call on them whenever I need support, and vise versa. We support each other and that is how we ALL, in the bigger picture, are going to make it through all of this.
  • Faith.  This is a tough one!  Having faith in our spiritual leader, ourselves, and frankly, humanity. Stay focused on who you are--a beautiful and powerful Child of God, however that occurs for you.
  • Service.  What--it's not all about me?!  When we are in the dregs, it is hard to remember, isn't it?  The more I place myself in the light of service to others, the more I experience peace and purpose (go back to People and Faith).
  • Purpose.  Much like Service, the more I am servicing others and being true to my purpose, the more clarity I gain, and the mental clutter disappears.
  • Entanglements.  Being aware of when we are viewing ourselves as our circumstance and separating ourselves from it.  Whew--another big one!  We are NOT our current challenge (go back to Service and Purpose).  This, again, is where your support community can help you see beyond the box, IF they are willing to be truthful with you, AND IF you are willing to be vulnerable and courageous enough to hear it.

And finally Love.  I believe our purpose, as a whole, is to express love and be of service.  (My friend Vickie again reminded me of this recently.)  This may sound etheric, but let's look at what brought us into the recent financial tornado--the lack of these two things!  Imagine if people would be coming from love and service, instead of greed and individual gain.  Quite a different outcome.

Emotional head clutter gets in the way when we forget these principles.  There is always a bigger picture than just "me", so my goal is to stay in the flow of that and have committed to myself to keep reminding myself of who I (really) am.  Won't you join me?

Plastic Bags

Linda StanfieldMy friend Michelle Evard sent this information out with her newsletter, and I want to share it with you:

Plastic bags account for over 10% of the debris that is washed up on US coastlines.  These bags photodegrade, breaking down into smaller, more toxic particles that animals mistake as food.  They get so small they eventually contaminate the soils and waterways.

Reducing plastic bags will help decrease our dependency on foreign oil, since they are made from oil.

If 1 in 5 Americans were to use a CLOTH BAG, saving 6 plastic bags a week, we would save 1,330,560,000,000 over our lifetime.

Please use a cloth bag at any store you shop in. Or, if you forgot to bring a bag and it is a small purchase, go without a bag.  Thanks!
