November 2007                      OrganizEzineTM
Greetings!

THANK YOU for taking the time to read this and take steps to improve yourself this year.  I am looking forward to sharing with you in 2008. And to all of the new subscribers--Welcome!

This month is late due to some transitions in my business that required me to delay the newsletter.  Noteably, my business partner, Karen Ussery, has decided to change hats and will no longer do organizing. I will be melding her business, Organized for Success, into mine.

She will devote full time to her photography.  You may remember that I featured her work last month--fotos de karina.  Please join me in supporting her new venture by signing up for her mental margarita and purchasing her prints at www.fotosdekarina.com.
Maintenance
You mean I have to MAINTAIN my systems?!Linda Stanfield

Well. . . yes!  If you have heard me speak at all, you have heard me say, "Organizing is a PROCESS."  That means it is a living, breathing "something" that you need to continually play with.

Take a look at these things that need to be cared for, purged every now and then and revisted to see if they are still appropriate or serving you:
  • systems
  • procedures
  • files
  • paper--including the PILES
  • voicemail messages (outgoing and received)
  • emails
  • desk drawers
  • storage areas for office supplies, books, long term storage, etc.
  • heater filters
  • relationships
  • body and mind

Linda StanfieldInstead of setting an intention or New Year's Resolution to "get organized" this year, why not just schedule some maintenance times into your calendar?  It makes it sound and feel less overwhelming and will help you chunk out projects out to be more palatable.  Take an hour to clean out emails once a month, purge your files after the annual or fiscal year end, send a note of gratitute or acknowledgement to someone every few weeks, etc.  See how easy that is? And then, to borrow from Nike, "Just Do It!"

New Class Info
Melanie Benson Strick
NEW CLASS FORMAT!!
Outlook:  Easy Time
Management Secrets

Do you know how to use all of the time and energy saving features of Outlook? I've made it easier than ever to learn how to optimize your use of this great program.

Most people say that they know the basics, but also know there is a lot more they could be doing.  They just don't know how.

We will focus on those "other" things that really save duplication of effort, and maximize efficiency so you can be more productive and make more money! I even throw in organizing tips and strategies instead of just talking technical.

It is now in a webinar format, so you don't have to leave your computer!  Four sessions of one hour each, given every other week, so you have time to integrate the principles and techniques before learning new ones.  This also allows time to go more in-depth and answer more questions!

Only $98.00 per person

Starts Wednesday, January 23

9:00 am to 10:00 a.m.
Click here to register now. Class is limited to only 15!!

Melanie Benson Strick and Success Connections

MelanieI was originally introduced to Melanie about 3 years ago at a networking event she spoke at.  I was immediately taken with her genuine and authentic nature, and especially by her message.  She helps people get on track and create success in their lives (of course I would like that!)

I attended one of her seminars last January, and have purchased many of her tools.  Because I think she is so powerful in what she teaches, I also want you to know about her and some of the many things she offers.  They are all great to start off the new year with, so I encourage you to consider making an investment now if they call to you. They forever impacted the way I think about and run my business.

Just click on any of the items and it will take you to her website where you can find out more about each product, or give me a call if you would like to learn more about my experience with her.

Best wishes for your successful future!

Blessings,

Jody Owen
