As we move from the summer season, into the fall. . .  Wait, that does still happen doesn't it?  It seems here in Phoenix we only have summer and winter! 
 
Even though we don't always feel it in temperature, we move from the seasons of new growth and outer expression (spring and summer) into the seasons of introspection and regrouping (fall and winter).

In the business world, fall also seems to be a time of revving up again, after the laziness of summer, to meet our 4th quarter or year end goals.
 
It is the perfect time to reassess how well the systems, procedures, and things that we use everyday to support our work, are working, or NOT!  (By the way, don't forget to read about how you can really LEARN how to make some changes by reading the column to the right!!)
 
Each January we declare, "By the end of this year, things will be different!"  Well, are they?  If not, looks like some more tweaking is in order!  If your goals are still waaaaay out of reach, instead of in near sight, that says that doing things the same old way isn't going to work any more, so let's make some changes.
 
What is working or not working?  Is the way you answer your phones projecting the way you want your company to be perceived?  What about your forms or files, or the amount of time you spend on emails?  Do you need to reach too far for something on your desk?
 
Just "tuning in" as you go through your day will bring to light the places to start.  And if you are overwhelmed and need a little help, just give me a call!!
