Welcome to The Space You're In OrganizEzine!

Greetings!

Welcome!  If you are not sure why this was sent to you, read the paragraph at the very top of the page and it will explain.

The information about my seminars on September 14 and 21st is almost ready--watch for it in your emails!
White Space

Do you ever feel like you are working strictly out of reaction to those fires that keep popping up all over the place, or just from appointment to appointment in your calendar?!  And what happens if things don't go as planned?

We've all been there!  How about adding a little "white space" in there to act as a cushion.  In the world of graphic design, the use of white space helps you focus more on what the message is.  It works the same with time and energy management.  You can't be proactive if you don't have time to regroup and get ready for the next thing, or at least have some cushion time to allow for computer malfunctions, health issues (you or your employees), training time, traffic, the pipes busting, or anything else that might occur in our everyday lives.

airplaneConsider allowing (a LOT) more time in between action items on your calendar, just to regroup or have a cushion, and see how your productivity and peace of mind increases!

In-House Outlook Training

I just gave a very successful workshop on Outlook and have had a lot of interest generated from those who could not attend.  It seems that there are a lot of people just getting by with the very basics on this very powerful tool.

Why not have me come in and train your whole team?  Give me a call at 480-461-0463 if you are interested in learning more.

Summer Fun Alert!
Summer Fun Alert!

I just recently experienced something that I wanted to share.  Last week I took my girls and a couple of their friends to the water park, as part of my incorporating more play into my life.

We all had a great time, except that I and my youngest daughter both came out of it with slight whiplash and I also experienced a slight shoulder/rib injury--nothing that my great chiropractor couldn't work on and get back into shape.  But my caution is this:  many of those rides bounce and jolt you around, especially the back person in the multi-rider tubes.  You may want to ask around first or watch others to see if it is right for you.

There is one especially fun/scary ride that I drew the line on, but watched the riders.  It is shaped like a huge taco and every time the riders came to the bottom of the taco, their necks were being whipped back.

So, go and have fun (we did!), but be careful!!
I am taking the week of July 2 off for my birthday and the 4th of July.  Have a safe and fun holiday!

Blessings,

Jody Owen
