The NYCLGBTCC will attend The Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Queens (HCCQ) is presenting another of their semi-monthly seminars for business owners and people starting a business. Their next seminar entitled "How to Create Your Business Image" with a continental breakfast is scheduled for March 30.
The presenter, Yolanda De Los Reyes, a Business Consultant, will discuss five important topics including your appearance when going to ask for a loan or participate in networking to the message in your answering machine.

The HPC GALA
Welcome to Michael Anthony's, a beautiful space on the Newport Waterfront...where it's a festive spring evening in Jersey City. The HPC GALA guests arrive at the gloriously appointed banquet room of Michael Anthony's ...to an expanded lounge of entertainment (well we don't really ave this confirmed yet so I would cut tis part out) and delights. Guests are greeted by a spread of delicious hors d'oeuvres, sweets by Carlos' Bakery, "the Cake Boss", a hosted cocktail bar-throughout the evening-and, once again, a crowd of exciting friends and colleagues. As the evening progresses, the room has filled with our honored Gala guests...dressed to impress. The program begins and we gather together to celebrate the amazing work our HPC Gala 2010 Honorees, Senator Sandra Cunningham, Hudson CountyExecutive Tom DeGise, our Volunteer of the Year, Iyannah Fields and Marvin W. Krieger, Director of Hudson County HIV/AIDS Services Planning Council. After the program and speeches DJ Paul plays vibrant dance music that is meant to get your heart racing. The evening ends with dancing, mingling ...and the crowd is happy, upbeat, and thrilled to have been a part of HPC's Celebration of 16 Years of Service to the Community.

Second Annual 2010 BORDER HEALTH MISSION (BHM)PROJECT
FUNTOSALUD (Spanish acronym meaning "All for Health"), incorporated as a non-profit since the 1990's, organized a healthcare provider team and a food distribution project in the area. However, the foundation's ability to continue this humanitarian work is rapidly declining because support is not very common for grassroots humanitarian projects such as this. In response, a partnership between FUNTOSALUD and Haitian and Dominican descendants from the US Diaspora created the Annual Border Health Mission Project and established FUNTOSALUD International in the United States. This multidisciplinary initiative looks to make this humanitarian and solidarity project empowering and sustainable through the expertise and dedication of professional volunteers who travel to the Haitian-Dominican border towns and Bateyes.
