Creativity fuels an
innovative & collaborative
workforce.

Creativity and innovative thinking is critical for 21st century businesses, and we provide resources for non-profit and for-profit businesses alike to tap. This fall's Executive Leadership Series gave business people the opportunity to explore new efficiencies, network with peers and build capacity.

We also foster creative thinking for tomorrow's innovative workforce. Our in-school and after-school Arts Integration Residencies use creative arts to teach academic STEM subjects and address issues of tolerance and empathy for future leaders.  The Arts S.T.O.P. Bullying program teaches kids how to work with and relate to each other, preparing them for collaborative environments.

"Creativity is one of the most important leadership qualities and that a creative workforce is better prepared to break with the status quo of industry, enterprise and revenue models..." Click here to read the rest.

Creativity bridges the social service gap.

Despite County budget cuts, arts and humanities groups continue fill the gaps in social services when they are most needed for children and adults with disabilities, senior citizens, homeless children, and teens at high-risk for academic failure and gang violence.

Programs funded by our Artists & Scholars in the Community Grants annually serve nearly 1,000 individuals through programs at places like The Children's Inn at NIH, the Boys & Girls Clubs, CHI Centers for adults with disabilities, and senior communities.

AHCMC partners with social service organizations to help at risk children, such as our PhotoKids program for children living in a local public housing community.

By engaging in creative opportunities, people of all abilities can experience a fuller, richer life and contribute to the growth and vitality of our community.
