Our celebration of World Oceans Day on June 8 begins at 3 pm with a clean-up of Colony Beach. Bring your chairs and blankets and relax after the clean-up. The picnic, hosted by Colony Hotel, begins at 4 pm. Entertainment provided by Mousam River Ramblers and there will be beach activities for children. You'll have an opportunity to take the Ocean Pledge and learn more about The Ocean Project and Surfrider Foundation. In case of rain, the celebration will be in The Carriage House at Colony Hotel. |
Ocean Trivia Night at Alisson's After the beach celebration, Alisson's Restaurant in Dock Square will dedicate the weekly Trivia Night to ocean themes from marine science to beach pop culture. Starts at 8 pm on Tuesday. Prizes will be awarded! |

Community Photo at Colony Beach, Thursday This will be a first! Join us on Thursday, June 10 at 5:30 pm for a group photo on Colony Beach. We're going to stand in the formation of a fish for a aerial photograph. Be a part of history and Seas the Day! This is a rain or shine event. |
"Make a Splash" at Graves Library On Friday, June 11 the Louis T. Graves Memorial Library in Kennebunkport will host two story hours. Beginning at 10 am and 1:30 pm, the story time will celebrate World Oceans Day with ocean-themed books and crafts. |
Surf's Up with Dr. Seuss On Saturday, June 12 at 10:30 am, Kennebooks will host children for ocean-themed stories including "One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish." A Dr. Seuss birthday party follows with a craft project and refreshments. The bookstore is located on Port Road, Lower Village. |
"Happy Feet" to be shown at
