Join us this Sunday, December 5, at 6:30 p.m. for our annual Messiah Sing-Along at St. Olaf Catholic Church, 215 S. 8th St., downtown Minneapolis. You'll delight in all your favorite selections from the oratorio, led by our own Kathy Saltzman Romey and accompanied by St. Olaf organist and music director Dr. Lynn Trapp.
The sing-along (90 minutes, no intermission) is unticketed; a free-will offering will be taken. Limited copies of the music are available--please bring your own score if you have one!
Free parking is available next to the church, and across 3rd Ave. on the upper levels of the Energy Center Ramp.
This popular event kicks off a week devoted to Handel's beloved oratorio; four concert performances with the Minnesota Orchestra, led by Osmo Vänskä, run from Wednesday, Dec. 8 to Saturday, Dec. 11.
Tickets for the concert performances are available from the Orchestra Hall box office by clicking here.
If you're in the mood for holiday pops, there's no better choice than our Jingle Bell Doc performances with the one and only Doc Severinsen, Dec. 16 and 19 at Orchestra Hall: click here for tickets.
For any of the Orchestra Hall concerts, call the box office at at 612.371.5656.

Singing from our hearts |
|
We're still aglow from our Nov. 21 Bridges concert, "Sing On!" Icy weather notwithstanding, it was a glorious afternoon--one of those enchanted moments when everything comes together, and when music takes us to a place far beyond the ordinary. We were especially thrilled to welcome Voices of Experience to the Chorale "family," as the ensemble, led by Dr. Mary Kay Geston, made its debut appearances that weekend.
