Join Our Mailing List
Hello Land's Sake friends,

It's official, maple season has begun! On February 6, Land's Sake staff and friends tapped over 200 maple trees around town with almost 400 taps at our annual Tapping Out. Armed with power drills, hand drills, spiles, metal buckets and hammers we got the job done in record time. Thank you to all who came out and lent a hand.

The warm days and cool nights as of late are rewarding our efforts and the sap is flowing. Thanks to the help of a great group of Weston middle school students and other volunteers, we are collecting sap each week as fast as the buckets are filled...as sure sign that spring is on its way.

Spring is also the time we ask you to consider becoming a member of Land's Sake or to renew your membership. Your membership is critical to our sustainability as an organization and brings you unique benefits as well. Please be on the lookout for a letter from us soon or become a member today by visiting our web site.

We've heard you!

Our thanks to all of you who attended our Public Forum held January 26 and participated in our online survey. Your interest and support of Land's Sake is so important to us.

The results are in and we are carefully reviewing your comments. In many cases, you told us to keep up the good work particularly with our education efforts with children, our outreach to area food banks and our community events. You've also given us plenty of ideas for improvement and we are taking you seriously. Look for the new ways Land's Sake will be getting the word out about our organization, developing deeper partnerships with like-minded groups and focusing on fundraising to ensure a sustainable future.

Next month we will announce the two winners of a $50 Land's Sake gift certificate as thanks for their participation.

Your input is welcome! If you have feedback to give us, please call 781-893-1162 or e-mail Alyson Muzila at alyson@muzila.net.
Help us spread the word

Are you a teacher, Girl or Boy Scout leader, homeschooler, youth group leader or other kind of educator? Do you know someone who is? Please help us spread the word about our educational Maple Sugar tours. Consider bringing your students or forward this information to the educators you know. Parents of school-aged children, please let your schools and teachers know about this opportunity. Don't delay. Maple season will be over before you know it!
