 You can now visit the brand new You! The Experience exhibit at Chicago's Museum of Science
and
Industry. There you'll find three new exhibits created by Snibbe
Interactive.
We worked closely with Thinc Design in New York who designed the
overall
exhibition; and with MSI's staff including Kurt Haunfelner, VP Exhibits
and Collections and Patricia Ward, Director, Science and Technology.
Kurt was kind enough to offer this comment on conclusion of the
project, "Snibbe

Get In the Action

Get In the Action
is a large, 24-foot interactive wall. Highly visible as the centerpiece of the You exhibit, it's capable of
accommodating dozens of simultaneous visitors. Using Get in the Action, visitors take instruction from a series of interactive video coaches to learn Tai Chi, Basketball, and Hip Hop Dancing. A free
mode lets people create open-ended explorations with their bodies' outlines.

Laugh Garden
|
|
Laugh Garden is a
series of monitors that show a diverse group of people staring back at the
viewers. As a visitor moves in front of the displays, the intensity of his or
her movement causes the faces to first smile, then giggle, and eventually laugh
hysterically; contagiously spreading laughter to the visitors themselves.

Support Networks
|
|
Support Networks is a screen-based interactive experience
where people answer questions about their social network and the support they
receive. The names of friends and family who give more support become larger
and larger, becoming a personalized animated collage.

Computer Vision Software Engineer
Snibbe Interactive has a special new job opening for a star computer vision engineer with expertise in full-body tracking. We'll be
expanding our SocialMirror platform this year for refined full-body tracking
and looking for a uniquely talented person to join our team on a contract or
full-time basis.
Immersive Media Computer Graphics/Vision Intern
We are also looking for talented computer graphics/computer vision interns to develop
immersive full-body interactive exhibits, games, and marketing experiences.
