Greetings!
We are fast approaching the Spring Equinox and the change of season gives me the chance to share two new interactive experiences with you: one for the Nemo Science Centre, and the other a branding experience for Sony's New York headquarters. Please also check out an article in the March 19 New York Times that features some Snibbe Interactive's recent work with science museums and the particular challenges creating experiences that combine the magic and mystery of art with the education and wonder of science. |
Looking For Life at Science Center NEMO
First, take a look at "Looking for Life", created for Science Center NEMO, the biggest science center in The Netherlands. In "Looking for Life", people create a choreography between their shadow and the building blocks of life, which drift upward to be transformed into living entities explained by floating strings of text. The exhibit focuses on the boundary between non-life and life - where and how life emerges from organic building blocks.

You And We at Sony's New York Headquarters
Across the Atlantic is "You and We", installed at Sony's Wonder Technology Lab in their New York City headquarters. "You and We" allows a visitor to explore the concept of community and personal identity. Merging pools of colored light follow the visitor as they interact with each other, exploring how relationships and connections help define who we are. From blobs of lightening-injected protoplasm to pools of dynamic color-infused circles, Snibbe Interactive delivers two fresh experiences. Happy Spring!
