Greetings!
It's my pleasure to share with you three interactive exhibits premiering at the magnificent new California Academy of Sciences in San Francisco. We will be demonstrating one of these exhibits at the Association of Science-Technology Centers Conference (ASTC) in Philadelphia this weekend. Please come and visit us to see Arctic Ice and Social Light in person, along with a ShadowShare™ interactive kiosk where you can email a video of your experience to a friend to share in online communities, including Facebook and YouTube. THREE INTERACTIVE EXHIBITS FOR THE NEW CALIFORNIA ACADEMY OF SCIENCES |
|
In Arctic Ice, people try to unite a mother and child polar bear by deflecting the sun's rays, thus learning about the feedback loop between the sun, ocean, ice and climate change.

In Bug Rug, people interact with a simulated jungle floor, dropping bait to catch insects in the same way that scientists collect bugs in the wild.

In Galapagos, people play an interactive game on a touch-sensitive tabletop where they match plants and animals to the way that they reached the Galapagos, learning how the islands were populated.
