Champanes Wine Cellar & International Marketplace
Champanes Wine Cellar & International Marketplace
Cellar Tip . . . Forgoing our tasting notes for this month, it's that time of year to begin hunting, pecking, and foraging for those last deals of the Summer, just in time to prepare to keep our wine cellars fully stocked for the (heaven forbid) long cold Winter that seems to be just around the corner. With the ever rising costs of gas, food and other necessities of everyday living, it seems the only thing going down these days are the prices at Champane's Wine Cellars.

As the Euro has skyrocketed and the value of the US dollar has stumbled across the globe, we at Champane's have  secured literally hundreds of cases of great wines from around the world before many of the price hikes take effect. Super savings and unheard of deals abound throughout every aisle of Michigan's largest fine wine establishment. Not only are these great bargins in store right now, we've even lowered the price on a large number of these items. Let me take your through a virtual walk through of the store and update our loyal customers on the steals and deals that await you upon your next visit.

*  I see a limited number of cases of Silver Oak Cabernet, normally the lowest price in town at $79.99, we dropped the price to a staggering $59.99.

*  There are a number of cases of Concannon Assemblege Cabernet Sauvignon, normally priced at $15.99, while supplies last, we have them value priced at $5.99.

* Also from France, Louis Latour Ardeche Chardonnay is back in stock and for a limited time, we are holding the price firm at $6.99.

*  Did someone say Layer Cake? Though the Aussie Shiraz will not be released until this November, a new Layer Cake Primitivo aka Zinfandel from Italy is now in stock for only $12.99.

*  Those in the hunt for a great everyday sipper at a rock bottom price will love the series of wines from either Redwood Creek or Beringer Stone Cellars. Whether you prefer Cabernet or Merlot, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, or Pinot Grigio, they are all value priced at only $3.99 each.

*  Those who jumped on the savings bandwagon early were rewarded with the wonderful reds from Gnarly Head. There are a few select cases left of Merlot, Cabernet, and Old Vine Zinfandel still deeply discounted at only $7.99.

*  For those who enjoy a special treat every now and then, the award winning Bordeaux blend Chateau St. Jean Cinq Cepages, normally priced at $79.99., there are a limited number of bottles of the 2003 vintage priced at $39.99 and the 2004 vintage at $49.99.

*  As the dog days of Summer wind down, refresh yourself on a hot day with an even hotter deal. Red truck Pinot Grigio, normally priced at $6.99 is being offered at a mind blowing 3 for $10.00.

*  Want a great Chardonnay at an unheard of price? Look no further than the newest offering from Chateau St. Jean. Now where else in the Motor City will you find this gem priced at only $8.99.

*  If you prefer Pinot, we have a limited number of cases left of Diamond Oaks Pinot Noir, value priced at only $8.99. Also, the highly rated and hard to find Montoya Pinot Noir for only $9.99 each.

* If you head to our New Zeland section, we now have on sale Brancott Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, and Pinot Noir. Normally priced at $11.99, we're practically giving it away for only $7.99 per bottle. At a $4.00 savings, it's like getting a free gallon of gas for every bottle purchased.

*  Can't decide on which varietal you should pick up? Take a stroll on the path to the Barefoot series of wines. Red, white, sweet or dry, there is something for everyone's taste and at a price everyone will love. For a limited time, we've lowered the normal everyday price  to only 2 for  $9.00.

*Need an early Christmas gift for that hard to find wine enthusiast? Rarely ever seen as one full unit and even more rare to be offered for sale,  we have opened up our vault and are offering this spectacular collectable one time and one time only. This highly sought after collection of Marilyn Merlot bottling's from 1986 through 2006, along with the only offering ever made of Marilyn Chardonnay, is now on display. Better than a stock, a bond or mutual fund opportunity, this collection continues to increase in value with every new vintage. One lucky Champane shopper can be one of the few wine collectors in the country to own this rare gem. Stop in to inquire about our low one time sale price.

These are but a few of the hundreds of wines we cut our prices on to help our customers enjoy one of life's great pleasure and save a few hard earned dollars in the process. With new wines and great bargains happening on a daily basis here at Champane's Wine Cellars, be sure to ask our staff on your next visit to point you in the direction our latest and greatest hidden treasure you might otherwise miss.

Did you know . . . that the first wines ever to use a screw cap and not conventional cork were Australian rieslings from Clare Valley. Rumor has it, that by 2010, all wines from New Zeland and most from Australia will be cork free.
