Last night the citizens of the Acalanes Union High School District affirmed their commitment to the primacy of public education in this community.  The passage of Measure A is the result of the dedicated efforts of the entire educational community.  Adults of all ages, students, civic leaders, educators, and dynamic parent leadership united to support educational excellence for our students.  This is truly a caring community.

Over the next five weeks, the Acalanes Union High School District staff will dedicate the hours essential to construct instructional offerings for the 2010-2011 school year reflective of the investment made by our community.  The rescheduling process for students begins today.  The district is committed to finalizing its master schedules by graduation day.

The Measure A campaign was quite short (87 days) by most standards.  Co-Chairs Joni Avery and Susie Epstein, along with fabulous support from parent group leaders and volunteers, provided a message of concern for the welfare of students that truly resonated throughout the community.  Their passion for education ignited the spark for a volunteer network that provided the thousands of work hours necessary to pass Measure A.
