Greetings!

Happy New Year! Dust off your gardening gloves, because even if it's cold otuside, we've got plenty on our winter calendar to keep you busy until spring.

Come to the tropics and warm up at Texas Discovery Gardens! Our new indoor spaces get you out of the cold. We've got a packed January schedule, including a Fascinating World of Tea workshop, the inaugural classes in our new Organic University series, and much more.

And don't forget: Recycle your Christmas Trees and old Cell Phones/PDAs!
When: Saturday, Jan. 9, 2010

Recycle your Christmas Tree at Texas Discovery Gardens--follow signs around back and drop it off at Ranger Drive. Preservation Tree Services will chip the trees and donate the mulch to the Gardens! You can also recycle old cell phones or PDAs here, courtesy of Chiapas International and Recycle to Eradicate Poverty. And no worries: all data is erased before recycling.

Remember, we are now open daily from 10 am to 5 pm (with the exception of New Year's Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas). The last Rosine Smith Sammons Butterfly House & Insectarium admission is sold at 4:15 pm daily. Admission is $8 for adults, $6 for seniors, $4 for children ages 3-11, and free for ages 2 and under.
