PUTTING OTHERS FIRST

Joyce Brenny - Chairwoman MTA

As a former OTR driver, the owner of Brenny Transportation, Inc., the Chairwoman of the MN Trucking Association, and Women In Trucking's Most Influential Woman of the Year, you could say I am earlobe deep in trucking! With 32 years in trucking I live and breathe this industry!

After all these years I personally know what an amazing sacrifice "professional" truck drivers make for our country. "Professional" truck drivers are the true leaders of our industry. To honor and respect "professional" truck drivers must be instilled in the culture of all trucking companies. "Professional" truck drivers serve our industry in a selfless manner that many ordinary citizens will never understand. Nothing displays your true character better than your desire to put others first! "Professional" truck drivers put others first every day!

Brenney I personally feel that "professional" truck drivers are lacking in the respect that they have earned. If any other industry showed the safety improvements that our "professional" truck drivers have shown over the years awards would be given and honors bestowed! What do our "professional" truck drivers get for all this selfless hard work? More regulations! As industry leaders we must work hard to give our drivers the confidence to "keep on trucking" when giving up, on some days, can look pretty good.

mta My company boasts a 6.8% driver turn over rate because we truly honor, respect and include our "professional" truck drivers and their family's in company decisions. Can you imagine being away from your family for days and weeks on end, to leave your children, and miss many important events? "Professional" truck drivers are humble and selfless; they don't want any special recognition for their sacrifices. "Professional" truck drivers just want respect. Respect from their companies, our government officials and customers!

Thank you "professional" truck drivers, you have Joyce Brenny's complete respect!

Joyce Brenny is President/CEO of Brenny Transportation, Inc. and Brenny Specialized, Inc. in addition she is Chairwoman of the Minnesota Trucking Association. Toll Detail Enhancements

There are two new fields in the toll details sent to you as an attachment with your invoice and can be downloaded on-line at my.bestpass.com. Both of these two new fields can be found as the right most columns in your toll detail spread sheet.

TransactionID

The first field we will talk about is the the TransactionID. This field was added by BESTPASS to each toll record and uniquely identifies the toll transaction. You can use this to uniquely identify and reference a given toll record to help avoid reprocessing or double counting toll records. This number will never be changed by BESTPASS and can also be used to identify a given toll record to BESTPASS support staff should there be a question or concern.

Discounted

The second field, Discounted, identifies toll records that received an additional BESTPASS discount. If the field value is set to "Y" the toll has an additional discount. The discount applied can be found on your invoice for the given service and facilities the toll was incurred on. The service facility is also provided in a column on each toll record. While you do continue to receive built in discounts on some E-ZPass toll facilities, like the Ohio Turnpike, it is only the enhanced BESTPASS discounts that are identified here. We will also be adding an additional column that will hold the discounted cost of the toll. We expect this to be completed by the August billing.

Just one more way we try to make managing your toll and bypass usage a bit better.

MEET THE TEAM

Michael Magliocca - Sales Manager & Lead Consultant

Mike SM For the pass year Michael has made it a top priority to spread the news about the BEST kept secret in the tolling industry, "The BESTPASS Savings Program".

Michael has 20 years in sales along with 8 of those years being a Sales Manager in the Advertising and Healthcare industry. Michael will continue to inform the medium to large fleet companies about our exciting toll discount program and superior customer service team that makes BESTPASS stand out in a toll world that overlooks the trucking industry.

While Mike does not like to brag, he has had a very successful 2012 so far. Mike has brought the BESTPASS savings and service to some very large carriers, seeing Prime Inc. and FedEx Express sign-on in the first six months. Accounting for over 6,000 vehicles, we'd say he's getting the word out.

With Michael's success and his desire help build a sales team he was recently promoted to Manager of Sales. With a part-time sales admin and plans to bring on another part-time inside sales person, along with a marketing intern, Mike will be keeping busy in the comming months.

In Michael's free time he enjoys devoting time with his sports minded family and coaching several levels of his children's sports teams. Michael is very active in his community and local school district but best of all; Michael loves to spend quality time with his wife Dianne and they just happen to be celebrating their 20th wedding anniversary this August.

In fact he will be attending the 2012 Commercial Vehicle Outlook Conference August 22nd and the GATS (Great American Truck Show) in Dallas, TX from August 23rd - 25th.
