Joint Morning Session
The planned program featuring the three political party leaders discussing the upcoming provincial election was not possible due to scheduling difficulties. Instead, three dynamic and passionate speakers gave insights into three issues of concern, in the context of the October 6 election.

Status of Women & Human Rights Committee
Dr.Byrne,a founding member and President of the Toronto Chapter of Equal Voice, explained to us how Equal Voice came into being ten years ago. A group of well connected women, including the late Doris Anderson, saw the need to have more women elected to political office. If women represented half the population, then why were there not more women represented at all levels of government?

Ontario Council, along with National CFUW, Environmental and citizens' groups have sent comments and recommendations in response to Canadian & U.S. negotiators final consultation on the renegotiation of the Great Lakes Water Quality Agreement. More

Continuing its action on poverty, Ontario Council has endorsed The 25in5's Call to Action. More
