Conestoga High School
REMINDER - Student Participation Fee Due October 1, 2012

In July 2012, a letter was mailed to middle school and high school parents regarding a required student participation fee for the 2012-2013 school year. This fee was established to offset some of the expenses of District provided extra-curricular programs. The fee is $50 per student and covers participation in one or more T/E School District sports or activities. A list of eligible sports and activities is available on the T/E School District web site at www.tesd.net/fees. The $50 fee allows a student to participate in as many School District activities as he or she wishes during the 2012-2013 school year.

Please note: the original letter to parents regarding the student participation fee did not include the Conestoga High School Marching Band or the Conestoga High School Spring Musical. These two activities are eligible for the student participation fee and have been added to the list of eligible sports and activities.

Any student who plans to participate in one or more of these activities must pay the $50 fee on or before October 1st.

Click here for instructions on how to pay the student participation fee or visit www.tesd.net and click on "Click to Pay Student Participation Fee" on the left side of the home page under "Quick Links."

Gymnasium

Homecoming Dance

The annual Homecoming Dance, sponsored by Student Council, is scheduled for Saturday, October 20 from 7:30 to 10:30PM in the CHS gym. Many students from all grade levels attend and dates are not required. The dress is "semi-formal," which customarily means coat and tie for boys and dresses for girls.

Parent volunteers staff the refreshment areas and the coat check. Students are encouraged to label all items that may be checked or set aside during the dance. Although voluntary steps are taken to assist students with checking coats and other items, Conestoga is not responsible for items lost, damaged or stolen during school-related events. School officials join parents in hoping that the loss of personal property will not spoil an otherwise gala evening.

Important information about lunch program!

A change in the program that has financial implications to the parents is that a student must take at least one fruit or one vegetable for the meal to count as a lunch. If the meal does not include a fruit or vegetable the child is charged ala carte prices (even if they qualify for free or reduced lunch)!

Under the National School Lunch Program's offer verse serve we cannot serve the fruit or vegetable to a child if they do not ask for it.  We have added a large variety with each meal as well as a 4 oz 100% juice (which qualifies as a fruit). Please direct any questions or concerns to Dave Preston at 610-240-1956 or email him at prestond@tesd.net.
