OPEN HOUSE - THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 27TH AT 7:00PM

   Come to Open House!

Parents are invited to attend Conestoga High School's 2012 Open House program beginning at 7:00PM on Thursday, September 27, 2012. Prior to the event, students will be asked to take home a copy of their Day 1 schedules along with a map of the building. Upon entering the building, parents will report directly to their child's first period class, which will begin promptly at 7:00PM. Each class will meet for twelve minutes, during which time teachers will discuss course content, requirements, homework, and grading practices. Study halls and unassigned periods will provide opportunities for brief contact with administrators, school counselors, nurses, librarians and other support personnel. These periods also provide a good opportunity to visit the cafeteria where light refreshments will be available.

* Student directories will be sold during Open House. The cost for the directory is $5.00.

New Meal Requirements
A change in the program that has financial implications to the parents is that a student must take at least one fruit or one vegetable for the meal to count as a lunch. If the meal does not include a fruit or vegetable the child is charged ala carte prices (even if they qualify for free or reduced lunch)!

Under the National School Lunch Program's offer verse serve we cannot serve the fruit or vegetable to a child if they do not ask for it.  We have added a large variety with each meal as well as a 4 oz 100% juice (which qualifies as a fruit). Please direct any questions or concerns to Dave Preston at 610-240-1956 or email him at prestond@tesd.net.
