Reston Station The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority is constructing a 23-mile extension of the Metrorail system, which will be operated by the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority from East Falls Church to Washington Dulles International Airport. The extension will serve the Reston-Herndon area, the state's second largest employment concentration. It will provide a one-seat ride from Dulles International Airport to downtown Washington. Children's Indoor Tennis Available Thanks to a partnership between Reston Association, the U.S. Tennis Association and a local country club, children will now be able to play tennis year-round at Hidden Creek Country Club in Reston. Path Near Station to be Covered The walking path alongside the construction project for the new Wiehle Avenue Metro Station will be covered. According to Comstock Partners, the firm building the new 2,300-space parking garage, the sheltering will be installed to provide safety for pedestrians and cyclists.

Redevelopment Meeting Date Changed A public meeting about the Crescent Redevelopment Project will be held on Oct. 1 at 7 p.m. at Reston Community Center's Jo Ann Rose Gallery, 609 Washington Plaza. This meeting was originally scheduled for late September.
The session will include an update on Fairfax County's progress in its search for a developer to renovate the county-owned Crescent Apartments site at Lake Anne Village Center.
