Hormones and Breast Cancer
|
|
One of the principal causes of lymphedema in the USA is the treatment associated with breast cancer. Treatments for breast cancer including surgery and radiation contribute to disruption of lymphatic vessels leading to lymphedema. Therefore, one of the best methods to prevent lymphedema is early detection and treatment of breast cancer. Two recent studies link hormone use to breast cancer risk. One study links the use of DES during pregnancy to breast cancer and another study links the use of hormones, especially the combined use of estrogen and testosterone to breast cancer among postmenopausal women.

Ask Kelly |
Dear Kelly, I don't have a question, rather a thank you and a suggestion. You had helped me on the phone as well as guided me to your instructional videos and I think that would be great in your next edition of eNews to highlight one of your youtube videos to be sure that folks like me are aware that this is available. I know you put the logos on your eNews but I think a link to at least one of the videos would encourage folks to check it out and a lot of questions can be answered. Thank you again! Jane
Good idea! Here is a link for those with Classic ReidSleeve's. You may find this helpful.
Sincerely,
Kelly
