One of the most challenging questions for our students shows up on the University of Michigan supplement: Describe the unique qualities that attract you to the specific undergraduate College or School (including preferred admission and dual degree programs) to which you are applying at the University of Michigan. How would that curriculum support your interests?
Writing 500 words on this topic is easier for students applying to the nursing school or engineering program. It's not so bad for those who want to be musicians or architects. But what if you are applying to UM's College of Literature, Science and the Arts? Read more. |

Looking for a quiet place to work on your essays? Join us for a College Essay Drop In this Sunday, 1-4 p.m. Stop by for 20 minutes or two hours. An instructor will be there to answer your questions; we will provide cookies and Wi-Fi.
Drop-in sessions are free for Wow students;$20 for others.

Ace the ACT Writing Test
Wow taught an Ace the ACT Writing Test workshop last Tuesday to students from around metro Detroit. Upcoming ACT writing workshops will take place Oct. 17, 20 and 23, with additional workshops in November. See the Wow schedule to register.
