We are having a great year in the area of our membership growth. So far, we've welcomed 21 new members this year and five more new membership applications were submitted last week. I appreciate everyone who has contributed to our success. | TEACHER FOR A DAY - MARCH 29th | |
Would you like to make the difference in a middle school student's life? Do you want to be able to share the secrets to your personal success? (Or failure?) Southside Middle School's seventh graders are eagerly awaiting your insight and wisdom. Please sign up to be a teacher for the day on THURSDAY, MARCH 29TH. Training sessions and a meet-and-greet with the teachers will be available prior to the event.

| MEMBERSHIP CORNER | |
Each week we get the opportunity to not only gather and meet with our fellow members but also to meet with each other's friends, clients, relatives, vendors and even significant others. Please make an effort at upcoming meetings to meet another member's guest and ask how you can help them or their business.
Guests frequently become new members and are a steady supply of new energy and ideas but they are not the only way to help membership. We also need to assist our newer members and those who may be struggling to find their role to become more integrated. At the next meeting, help a member you do not already know to find a way to participate more, make a new connection or transact some business within the group. You will be helping us all. The more we help each other, the more we help our club, our city and ourselves.
I hope to see you next Wednesday and if you bring guests, please feel free to introduce them to me. I look forward to meeting your friends and acquaintances and hopefully seeing them inducted as a new member soon.

| SUNS BASEBALL SOCIAL - APRIL 13th | |
You don't want to miss this fun event! SBMC invites you to another family friendly outing at the Jacksonville Suns Ballpark. For our annual Suns game outing, we have booked the same SkyDeck #4, as last year for April 13th, 2012. All-you-can-eat food is served from 6:30pm - 8:00pm and includes hot dogs, hamburgers, popcorn, tea and lemonade, and all the fixin's. Draft beer service is from 6:30-8pm. As this will be on a Friday night, there will be fireworks after the game!
Tickets are only $25/adults and $21/kids and will be on sale at our Wednesday meetings and online. We only have a limited number of tickets so please get yours as soon as possible. It is always a blast!

| THE PLAYERS CHAMPIONSHIP - MAY 7th - 13th | |
TPC is May 7th to May 13th and Volunteer Sign Up is now in progress. The SBMC provides volunteers to work the TPC food and beverage tent adjacent to the 18th landing spot. Our team members run cash registers, prepare and serve food and beverages throughout the week. This is an annual fundraising event for the Club and is always a fun way to get to know your fellow members. We have a need for volunteers every day. But of course the good times go first so don't delay.
A drawing for $100 CASH (2 winners) will be held the Wednesday following the tournament. Your name will be entered into the drawing once for every shift you work.
***Anyone working SUNDAY will have their name entered 2 TIMES***
You don't need to be a member to participate in this fun event. Recruit your family, employees, friends, etc. You will get a day pass to the event so you can enjoy the TPC when you aren't working your shift.
There will be a sign up notebook passed around all SBMC lunch meetings from now until the event. FISHING TRIP - JUNE 30TH | |
Let's go fishing! SBMC has chartered the Mayport Princess Party Fishing Boat, with the infamous Captain George Strait, for June 30th, 2012. Fishing tackle, rods & reels, bait, and helpful deckhands will be provided, as well as a box lunch from Honey Baked Hams, water, soft drinks, and beer! All of this for only $80/person, but we only have 40 spots. This event sold out in less than a week last year, so either pay online or bring your payment to next meeting!
