PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE | |
Happy New Year! Yes, 2012 is here. There is always something refreshing about the turning of the calendar to a New Year and a chance for a new beginning. I'm honored and excited to begin a new year as your President. It is a historical year for our Club as we celebrate our 80th Anniversary.
We had a very special meeting last week. First, we thanked our Leadership team and Committee Chairs for the outstanding job they did last year. I'd like to personally thank our Chairman John Hamel and the immediate Past President Ken Dean for their commitment and dedication to the Club.
Then, we installed our new Officers and Board members for 2012. Some of our members probably noticed that I was overwhelmed with gratitude and pride as I was giving my acceptance speech in front of our Members, legendary Pauline Smith and our 1st female President Belinda Mitchell. I'd like to thank our own Karen Mathis for being such a great member and supporter of our Club by featuring us in the Jacksonville Daily News.
I am fortunate to have a strong Leadership team that is committed to serve our Club and our community. We have many events and fun activities planned for our Members this year. Please stay tuned and read our weekly Newsletter to learn about them.
I have been deeply touched by the kind words of support and encouragement I've received from our Members. I look forward to making 2012 one of the most memorable years our Club has ever had with YOUR help and participation. I believe because of YOU, it's going to be a great year for the SBMC.

In honor of this year being our Club's 80th Anniversary, the 2012 Membership Directory will be a Commemorative Edition to honor this event. Those of you advertising in the directory will also be displayed on our website, once you provide the necessary graphic file(s).
Nancy and Steve Bennett will take photographs at our meeting this Wednesday, both before and after the meeting. You may provide a headshot from your own sources, realizing all photos will be subject to approval prior to the new directory going to print.
Please go to your profile on the SBMC website and make sure your profile is up-to-date and all information is correct. The deadline for the profile changes is January 31, 2012. Deadline for all advertising, graphics, art, and payments due is January 31, 2012.

GOLF OUTING - JANUIARY 27TH | |
Our January golf outing will be played at The Champions Club - Julington Creek on Friday, January 27th. The first tee time is 12:00. Cost is $40.90 which includes range balls and a boxed lunch.

DAYTONA INTERNATIONAL SPEEDWAY - FEB. 2012 |
