The Changing Face of Transportation:

Independence Day Edition

Greetings!

Happy 235th anniversary to this beautiful nation of ours!  I hope you enjoyed your holiday and didn't keep your neighbors awake all night with the firecrackers and bottlerockets you purchased from your local fireworks stand.

We're in the middle of summer which means that things are a bit slow right now.  But don't forget about the final HCM 2010 web briefings on July 19 & 21 (more information below).

Also, thanks to Anne Warnick for assisting with the newsletter this week.  If you'd like to see your name highlighted in this opening section, please feel free to volunteer.

Survey Says......

SurveySaysWe featured a survey regarding the KYSITE eNewsletter two weeks ago. Please take time to fill out this survey as soon as possible as the information is very useful to us! The survey will be open until July 21.

The link can be found by clicking here.

Since the preliminary results are looking pretty good, we should be able to present the results in the next edition.

The Traffic Camera Controversy

The New York Times recently featured an article (well, more of a commentary) regarding Red Light Camera the controversy of using cameras to catch speeders and red light runners. While many appreciate the safety benefits of using this technology, there are others who feel this method of enforcing traffic laws is unfair or improperly used. The entire article can be found here.

What do you think? We have created a quick poll to get your opinion on these. It is two quick questions and we will provide the results in two weeks.
