Chairman's Message                                                                                       August 2011

Kirt Speaks-family

Hello valued chamber members!!   As a child, I thought that the number "100 +" was really awesome to see but as an adult, I'm not so excited about the "100+" degrees. It sure has been hot out there! I hope you're staying cool with inside activities. The Cedar Hill Chamber has A LOT of indoor activities coming up this month. To start-early in the month-our annual "Taste of Cedar Hill and Business Expo". Come out and enjoy good food, good friends and good fun. It's coming up quickly on August 2. Buy your tickets TODAY.

Another cool indoor activity is Chamber Night Out on the 3rd Thursday of the month-this month it will be at the Ninth Grade Center in Cedar Hill hosted by Regions Bank with food catered by Babes Chicken Dinner House. You don't want to miss a great night!

Who knew networking could keep you out of the sun and cool you down? Our networking breakfasts will be on August 10 and 24 this month. Finally, our monthly chamber luncheon on the 18 will keep your stomach full and your body cool. This month the topic will be the "State of the School District" so you will be able to know where CHISD is and how we can all help make things great. Plan on attending.

In the meantime, I hope you can stay hydrated with plenty of cool water, keep your sunscreen on and keep both you and your animals inside whenever possible. See you in August!!
