This month is a Preview of the International Center for Reiki Training new membership program. This is an amazing opportunity to become more closely affiliated with the center!

ICRT Reiki Membership Program *Exciting Pre-announcement*
This article is sneak preview of the program, which will be officially announced soon on Reiki.org
At this year's International Reiki Retreat, William announced an
exciting new program, the ICRT Reiki Membership Program. You can become a
Professional Member or an Affiliate Member of the International Center
for Reiki Training, for a fee of $65 per year, if you meet the programs
qualifications.
The International Center for Reiki Training (ICRT) website,
Reiki.org gets over 3000 hits per day, many from people who are looking
for local Reiki teachers and practitioners. Up until now, all they have
been able to find on Reiki.org are the Teachers licensed by the Center
(TLCs). As there are only 20-25 TLCs (Including myself, Jessica Miller),
many people have not been able to find ICRT trained teachers and
practitioners near them.
This new program seeks to address this lack by allowing Reiki
Masters trained by the ICRT to become Professional Members and
Affiliates.
To be an Affiliate Member, you must agree to use the centers books, attunements, and code of ethics.
To become a Professional Member, you must have taken your
Reiki1&2 and Reiki Master training DIRECTLY from myself or any of
the other Center TLC.. If you have taken Reiki training from any other
teacher, you can become an Affiliate Member. To upgrade from affiliate to Professional Member, you will have to retake your training with myself, or other TLC.
As anyone who is serious about Reiki should train with multiple
teachers anyway, and as the Center TLCs are some of the best trained in
the world, this is considered by center to be a reasonable condition.
Both members and affiliate members will have there contact
information listed on the Reiki.org website. For each state, TLCs will
be listed first, then Professional members, then affiliate members.
Professional members will have two lines instead of one, and will also
be able to use the centers system to create website. Affiliate members
will have a single line listing.

Why Take Reiki ... Twice
For many people a Reiki class is a huge event in their life. It marks a major sea change in how they see the world, and how they see their life. It is an event worth repeating.
So much happens at once in a Reiki class, that it is not a surprise that students can't absorb it all at once. Students are often experiencing the reality of "Ki" for the first time, they are trying to figure out how the reality of Reiki fits into their life, they are healing at a deep level, and to think in an entirely new way. A Reiki class is truly an amazing thing! There is no way to truly take it all in. For many people, the Reiki class becomes one of the great watershed weekends of their lives, that affects everything they experience that comes after it.
So much happens, that repeating the class, even with the same teacher can pay huge dividends in increased understanding, new techniques, and stronger Reiki energy. The hardest thing to develop in any class is confidence, and often repeating students surprise themselves on how much they do know, can do, and yet how much more they learn. Often, when they repeat the class they notice definite improvements and increases in the amount of energy in their hands, and improvements in their sensitivity to perceiving energy.
Training with other teachers is also very helpful. Most Reiki students only ever talk to their teacher, and their fellow students. Training with other teachers is an excellent way to 'cross-pollinate" to learn new ideas, new approaches.
I joke that taking a class with me is like taking the class with many teachers at once. I have been doing Reiki since 1992, and I try to incorporate the best of what I have learned from different teachers and sources, and the best of the techniques I have developed in almost two decades of teaching.
I also take time at the International Reiki retreat to network with Reiki masters from all over the US and the world to talk shop, and discuss the ways to do different things with Reiki. Both here and elsewhere, I have met lots of talented Reiki people who have taken a Reiki class, and assume they have learned all there is to the subject. Then they start talking to me, and start finding out how many more ways there are to use Reiki, how much more potential they had never realized.
