Web Portal Update

Incident Reporting SystemThe Hazmat Fusion Center staff is busy redesigning the Hazmat Fusion Center website and gathering content for the Web portal. Three final Regional Incident Survey Team (RIST) report summaries as well as the Carbon Monoxide Release Training Package have been added to the Resources section. Please take a look and let us know what you think.

We are always looking for free training packages and other resources to add to the website. Please contact Data Analyst Elena Slavinsky at
eslavinsky@iafc.org or Data Program Manager Kelly Wolfe at kwolfe@iafc.org with any suggestions you may have. Submitted resources will be vetted by a group of subject matter experts prior to being posted on the website.

Currently there are 214 registered users on the Web portal. There are eight Beta teams doing data entry and over 112 incident reports have been submitted. If your organization is interested in participating in the Web portal Beta process and helping build and improve the Hazmat Fusion Center Incident Reporting System, please contact Data Analyst Elena Slavinsky at
eslavinsky@iafc.org or Data Program Manager Kelly Wolfe at kwolfe@iafc.org. Please visit www.hazmatfc.com
for updates about the national rollout of the Web portal and incident reporting system planned for later this year.

RIST Activities

RIST LogoThe Regional Incident Survey Team effort continues to move forward with an additional 12 survey reports in the final process of editing, formatting, and peer review before being posted to the Hazmat Fusion Center Web portal. If you were involved in an incident that produced a 'learnable moment' and you would like a RIST to conduct a survey, please visit the Hazmat Fusion Center web site for information at www.hazmatfc.com or contact RIST Coordinator Amber Wells at awells@iafc.org.
