WCPN/ideastream is seeking a first-rate writer and communicator to be part of the "Impact of Government" project as its lead web-journalist-blogger. The project, a collaboration of (ideastream) WCPN-Cleveland, WKSU-Kent, WOSU-Columbus and NPR, aims to report and analyze the ways state government affects Ohioans, specifically in the realm of schools and colleges. It will closely examine education law, policy, performance and accountability practices and standards, funding, contracts and regulation.
The web-journalist-blogger will build a dedicated online following around the project's coverage, generate and moderate social engagement, aggregate content from others, produce original web content and provide on-air debriefs with local station anchors. Candidates should have a minimum of three years journalistic experience and a track record befitting the best in local public radio; political and/or policy reporting experience; awareness of the big education issues; a thorough grasp of how state government works.
In addition successful candidates will possess:
·Demonstrated excellence in journalistic analysis and interpretation.
·Demonstrated capability excellence in reporting, and writing and photography for the Web and for blogs. (A writing/blogging assessment will be administered as part of the hiring process)
·Demonstrated familiarity with Web publishing tools, social media, crowd sourcing and other online programming
This is a grant funded position with an anticipated end date of (16) months. There is a high probability of continuation.

We are seeking an experienced Content Producer.
This position is responsible for overseeing all content on local news and information web sites.
Duties of the position include:
Work with news staff to plan, structure, report and write news and information content for Web sites and other new media platforms.
Produce the sites' content to optimize the user experience by being attentive to live web metrics and UE best practices.
Enhance the news content with outside links, maps, slideshows.
Coordination of news editorial and technical staff to facilitate the migration of multi-media content to new media platforms, including video, audio, still photos and graphics.
Assist in online coverage of major news events, breaking news and severe weather to ensure high quality consistent community coverage online.
Build out special sections and site features to enhance coverage and increase user engagement.
Shoot, write and edit content to enhance online coverage for all platforms.

PART-TIME WRITER AND EDITOR - THE CLEVELAND FOUNDATION The part-time (approximately 21 hours per week) Public Affairs Writer and Editor reports to the Director of Public Affairs and Strategy, and is responsible for writing and editing executive speeches and talking points as well as content for print, online, and other media. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Grant Writer / Content Specialist position is focused on two interconnecting responsibilities: grant writing and content creation. Conducting the full range of activities required to secure grants from private and corporate foundations and state and federal agencies is a critical part of this position. Grant Writing and Support

Conduct interdepartmental meetings to identify and prioritize project needs, coordinate and research grant preparation assignments.
