Happy first day of February! As I sit here in the greenhouse typing, my eyes are squinting through the beautiful sunshine filling the whole place! What a gorgeous day - again. Today marks the first annual Random Acts of Kindness Day in St. Thomas - a day to go out and be kind to others for no reason. Maybe you do this everyday, or maybe you need today to 'turn over a new leaf'... whatever the reason, enjoy your day, soak up the sun and try to make someone smile :-) If you are looking for simple ideas to surprise someone, read on: |

Wednesday, February 1st is St. Thomas's first ever and the month of February has been labelled There are so many colourful, bright and cheery flowers available at this time of year - why not surprise someone with a cute pot of daffodils ($3.99) or a mini violet ($1.99). Better yet - take them out for a breath of fresh tropical air to the greenhouse, where it is dry, warm and sunny everyday! Family Flowers is wheelchair and walker accessible too. Dog's Day Out
 Dog's Day Out on January 21st was a blast! Thank you to all the dogs who dragged their owners out for a visit! A lot of free dogfood and toys were handed out, 2 local newspapers joined us and made a couple dogs "famous", and there are more pictures at Dog's Day Out Photo Album Watch for another Dog's Day Out coming soon... Canada Blooms Tickets
Canada Blooms runs March 16-25 this year and is a not for profit organization with a mission to create a yearly international flower and garden festival which enhances and promotes the awareness of horticulture by featuring the best designs, products and services of amateur and professional participants. Proceeds from Canada Blooms are used to support community projects that promote horticulture and nurture and enhance our landscapes.
