Power Thought: TurnKey Dentist
Are You A Laggard?
When it comes to technology (your website, your digital education, your mobile presence, etc.), take a look at this bell curve by Everett Rogers and consider where you would plot your practice.
As technology advances at an incredible rate, it is critical that your practice is least a part of the early majority.

So, Who's Who in the Dental Industry?
Innovators & Early Adopters - Why should the tech industry get all the fun? Dental technology innovators and early adopters are scouring the Silicon Valley blogs to see how they can repurpose other industries' technology and apply it directly to their dental practice.
Early Majority - New toys and trinkets don't stop at the dental chair! You can spot the early majority by their mobile apps, fully engaged social presence, automated processes (like appointment reminders), cloud computing and the use of digital education tools.
Late Majority - In 2012, the late majority is just getting comfortable using new technology for the business side of their practice. They have a rudimentary digital presence - likely a basic website, basic email and are beginning to dabble in the social space via Facebook and Twitter. They are slowly making the transition from local software to cloud computing.
Laggards - Since you're reading this on a computer, congratulations! You're probably not a laggard. However, technology is moving quickly so at the very least, make sure that you have a professional email address, a website and at least a basic presence on Facebook so you're not left behind!
