Get a FREE T-shirt When You Share Your Story

Nearly every dental practice in the U.S. uses computer software to manage their practice. Right now, most of these practices are using client-server software, which means they have some stories to share, such as:
  • The time their server crashed and then they found out they weren't backing up the correct data
  • The time they spent all weekend installing new upgrades only to find out the new upgrade would only work on newer computers
  • The time they spent all night trying to get their remote login software configured correctly

Every one has a similar story to tell. Here' your chance to tell your story and get a reward at the same time.

Click here to tell us your story and we'll send you a genuine, limited edition, swanky Curve Dental t-shirt. Plus, you'll be entered to win an iPad in a drawing. Enter as many times as you please, but every story must be different!

How to Keep Your Credit Score Intact

Power Thought: McKenzie Management

A good credit score can be a welcomed business partner when you're looking to expand or remodel. Here's what you can do to keep you score healthy:

  • Keep the same credit cards for as long as you can. A long-term line of credit gives you a higher score than a new card just issued.
  • Pay your bills. Pay credit cards in full every month. Pay your student loans, make your mortgage payments on time, etc.
  • Check your credit report annually. Get a free report at www.annualcreditreport.com. You can see all of your credit activity, and it gives you the ability to promptly contest anything that's incorrect.
  • Bankruptcy is the last thing you should consider. If you do choose to take this step, only do so with the advice of an attorney who specializes in bankruptcy. Remember, that your credit score will likely be severely damaged for at least seven years, and you will encounter some lenders who will never lend to you again, period.
  • When it comes to financial pain, suffering is optional. Seek help and ensure that you and your practice are financially sound regardless of today's or tomorrow's economic whims.

Business Articles Explores Entrepreneur Challenges

In early 2008, Matt Dorey, founder and chief executive of Curve Dental, was at a loss. Three years into building a comprehensive Web-based software package for dentists, he felt the product was ready, but he was not sure how to make Curve a market leader. "The company was getting complicated," Mr. Dorey said. "I was starting to become conscious of what I didn't know. It was almost a feeling of loneliness."
