If you're a little concerned by your productivity numbers, take a moment to ask these six important questions:
  1. Look at your practice's neighborhood. Is it a vibrant area or dying?
  2. Look at your building. Is it dark and somber or crisp and inviting?
  3. Look at your reception room furniture. Is the furniture nice and firm or "rump" sprung?
  4. Look at your decorating. Is it chic or just clutter?
  5. Look at the stains on your ceiling. Should there be stains on the ceiling?
  6. Look at your baseboards and carpets. Does the carpet look plush and clean? Are the baseboards unmarked?

If your answers to these questions are, for the most part, on the negative side of things maybe its time to move on.
